Prophetess Who Charged Gullible Victim N72K To Make Demon Repulsion Potion Arrested In Lagos.
A self-proclaimed prophetess, Chinyere Nwachukwu, has been remanded
in Kirikiri Prisons in Lagos State, western Nigeria, over an alleged
fake love potion prepared for a woman, Amarachi Egekonye, 36, seeking
for a man that would marry her.
The 32-year old Chinyere was arrested by the police at Ikotun Division, Lagos and charged with obtaining money under false pretence and stealing under the Criminal Code before Ejigbo Magistrate’s Court, Lagos.
The victim alleged that the prophetess told her that she was possessed with certain demons that were preventing her from getting married and to ward off the evil, Chinyere demanded for N70,000 and MTN recharge cards worth N12,000 from her for the love potion and other spiritual assistance she would render.
Amarachi said when she agreed, Chinyere took her to her Arida-Ikotun prayer house where she collected the money and the MTN cards for ‘spiritual communication’.
Thereafter, the suspect bathed and prayed for Amarachi. She also gave Amarachi the love potion and instructed her to use it regularly to attract a man that would propose to her.

Security Summit Agrees On Action Plan To Rescue Chibok Girls, End Boko Haram
Governments of the countries present at the security summit on Nigeria and Boko Haram, in France, have agreed on an action plan to share intelligence and surveillance “in order to find those young girls,” according to French President François Hollande, host of the summit.
According to CNN, the summit has led partnering countries “to take stronger measures to eradicate” the terrorist group accused of abducting nearly 300 girls in Nigeria.
Cameroon President Paul Biya said Saturday at the summit. “We’re here to declare war on Boko Haram.”

1,000 women to get MWAN’s free cervix cancer vaccines in Enugu.
THE Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria, MWAN, Enugu State chapter has announced plans to provide free vaccines to 1,000 women as part of efforts to reduce cases of cervix cancer disease among women in the state.The project is to gulp N27 million, according to the new President of MWAN Enugu chapter, Dr. Mrs Olive Obienu, who explained that it would cost N27,000 to vaccinate one beneficiary.Speaking during the inauguration of the association’s new executive at the Universal Hotel, Enugu, Dr. Obienu, said that the medical women were committed to the reduction of cervix cancer prevalence among women in the state.

Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Samuel Ortom has revealed the Federal Government's plans to roll out made-in-Nigeria vehicles into the market next month, June 2014. The Minister made this known when he received a delegation from Automobile Peugeot, France in his office in Abuja, Punch reports.
The minister, while addressing the delegation which included the company's Vice President, Mr. Yves Moulin, said the newly introduced auto policy is quite effective and is attracting automobile brands to establish assembly plants in Nigeria.

Chris Brown Sentenced to 131 More Days in Jail for Violating Probation
Unfortunately, Chris Brown will be wearing that famous orange jumpsuit for 131 additional days.
The American pop star who recently
turned 25 – in prison, has been sentenced to 131 more days in prison for
violating his probation in the Rihanna case. That’s 4 months.
On Friday, the “With You” singer admitted he violated his probation by engaging in a fight with a man in Washington D.C.

reports that the judge sentenced him to a year in jail, however Chris
got credit for 116 days that he spent in rehab and 59 days behind bars,
leaving him with 131 days in prison.
But there is hope for Chris Breezy as he may be let out earlier due to overcrowding in prison.
There are reports that he may have
gotten 4 years in prison, but the judge took into account that he was
recent diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which could account to violence.

Another member of the dreaded Boko Haram sect allegedly confessed at Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua’s church today, stating that he was being paid N2,000,000 to bomb churches.
Nearing the end of the service, during the time Joshua’s ‘Wise Men’ were minisring ‘deliverance’ to people, an aggressive young man dressed in a shabby suit was ushered forward.
“I am one of the Boko Haram,” the man declared to the wise man, clearly under an unusual influence.“They said they would give me N2,000,000 if I went to blow up a church,” the man continued upon questioning as to how he joined the infamous group of insurgents. “Every church would be N2,000,000. “The Masterminds of the Nyanya Bomb Blasts Have Been Arrested”- Goodluck Jonathan
President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday revealed that the masterminds
of the two deadly bomb blasts that rocked Nyanya, a suburb of the
Federal Capital Territory have been arrested and are currently helping
the security agencies in their efforts to unmask their financiers.
Jonathan spoke while fielding questions from journalists at the end of the 24th World Economic Forum for Africa, WEFA, held in Abuja which ended yesterday.
He also said that the Federal Government had earmarked $10 million as matching grant to the efforts by the international community to rescue the 230 abducted female students of the Government Girls Secondary School, GGSS, Chibok in Borno State.
Jonathan said he had declared a total war on Boko Haram ‘’terror group’’ to rout it out of existence in the country, warning that anybody thinking that the spate of bombings and other devastation activities by the Boko Haram sect in Nigeria would force his administration to bend over forward and negotiate power with the sect or their sponsors should rather have a re-think as such a situation would not arise.
He however, reiterated that the successful hosting of the WEFA in Abuja in spite of threats by the insurgents was a clear demonstration that the days of Boko Haram were numbered as they will soon be smoked out with the help of the international community and made to face the consequences of their evil deeds.

Boko Haram kill 300 people in fresh attack in Borno State
According to reports, Boko Haram men struck again on Monday
night May 5th, killing 300 people and burning several houses in Gamboru
Ngala, in Borno state. The men reportedly came into town in armored
personnel carrier and armed with Improvised Explosive Devices, petrol
bombs,
assault rifles and Rocket Propelled Launchers. They targeted the market
in the town, shooting people and then proceeded to set ablaze houses
and properties in the area.
Confirming the incident to BBC Hausa service in
Maiduguri, Senator Ahmed Zannah who represents
the area at the national assembly said the 12 hour attack happened in the

According to police report, Tyrone, who had gained the trust of the girl, drove her to a Hueytown church last month, and once there, the man used a key to get into the building and raped the girl in the kitchen. He then drove the girl home, where she immediately told her mother what had happened.
Tyrone was arrested on Friday and has been charged of rape by forcible compulsion and first-degree sodomy.

Bagido area of Ijede Lagos, was weekend thrown into mourning following the discovery of the decomposing bodies of a man, his wife and five children in their building.
The man identified as Etim Edet was reportedly a staff of Nigeria Brewery Plc.
The family of seven was suspected to have been killed by fume from a power generator mounted in the house.
The late Etim, was reported to have been last seen at his place of work on April 25, 2014.
Apprehension reportedly set in following his absence on April 28, without prior notice, an action his colleagues described as unusual.
Tension heightened over his continued absence till Friday, with calls on his mobile telephone unanswered.
Some of his colleagues said to have gone to check on him at home became curious following the stench that was emanating from the building.

Where's Delta bursary fraud whistleblower, Ambrose Ezewani?
The ex student of the University of Lagos and former President of the National Association of Delta State students, UNILAG chapter, was picked on Monday April 28th in Lagos by officials of the Delta State government after he blew the lid on a systematic student bursary racketing allegedly happening in the state. (In case you missed it, read here).
His friends say Ambrose hasn't been heard from since he was picked up last week. Where is he?
